When you have like bases, you multiply the exponents together and put it over the base.

[tex] 2^{2} 2^{3} = 2^{2*3} = 2^{6} [/tex]

The answer you're looking for is ( D ) because in exponents, the rule is..

║If the bases are the same, add the exponents║

2 ^2 * 2 ^3 = ? (Bases are the same, add the exponents)

Answer: D = 2^5
