the sum of pH and pOH is always equal too 14

and so if we apply that principle we have the following

pOH + pH = 14

and we are told that the pH is 0.0059 so we substitute this in the equation

pOH +0.0059 = 14

pOH = 14 - 0.0059

pOH = 13.99
